Hot Dogs in Bellflower

Hot dogs at Omega Burgers come from the same counter as the burgers and follow the same build-it-up pattern. The Hot Dog is a large, deep-fried frank on a toasted hot dog bun with mustard, onions, and relish. Add cheese and it becomes the Hot Dog with Cheese. The Chili Dog covers the frank with homemade chili, and from there you pick your extras: Chili Dog with Onions, Chili Dog and Cheese, or Chili Dog with Cheese and Onions.

The Corn Dog is the one that surprises people. It is a large, deep-fried breaded turkey dog, which makes it the choice for anyone avoiding beef or pork frankfurters. It is also the base of the Kids Corn Dog meal on the kids' menu.

All of these are quick counter orders, which is why they do well with Bellflower Blvd commuters, Cerritos College students between classes, and parents handing something easy to a child in the back seat. The order page notes that a combo includes small fries or regular salad and a medium soda, so a hot dog can be a full lunch rather than a snack. There is outdoor patio seating if you would rather eat it here.
