Breakfast in Bellflower: Omelettes, Plates, Pancakes and Burritos at Omega Burgers

Omega Burgers at 16310 Bellflower Blvd is known for burgers, but the breakfast side of the menu is large. The order page lists seven breakfast sections: specials, omelettes, plates, items from the griddle, egg burritos, breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches. The restaurant opens at 7:00 AM every day. This guide goes through each section so you can tell what is what, with the exact descriptions from the order page, and ends with a short guide to choosing.

A note on timing

The order page labels the Breakfast Specials section as 7:00 to 11:00 AM. The other breakfast sections do not show a time limit on the order page, but we recommend calling (562) 920-1714 to confirm serving times before you plan around an afternoon breakfast. Omega opens at 7:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday it closes at 9:00 PM, and Friday and Saturday at 10:00 PM.

Breakfast Specials (7:00 to 11:00 AM)

This section is built around the classics:

  • Pancake Special: 2 extra large eggs, 2 pancakes and 2 bacon or 2 sausages.
  • French Toast Special: 2 extra-large eggs, 2 slices of French toast, and 2 bacon or 2 sausages.
  • Hash Brown Special: 2 extra large eggs, hash browns, toast and jelly.
  • Kid's Pancake Special: 1 extra large egg, 1 pancake, and 1 bacon or 1 sausage.
  • Kid's French Toast Special, and a single Pancake (1 Piece) to add to any order.

The kids versions are a good fit for smaller appetites. See the pages for pancakes, French toast and the Hash Brown Special.

Omelettes

The Omelettes section lists nine, and each is described as including 3 extra-large eggs, hash browns, toast and jelly:

  • Denver Omelette and Denver Sunrise (Denver omelette page)
  • Cheese Omelette
  • Ham Omelette and Ham and Cheese Omelette
  • Chili Omelette and Chili and Cheese Omelette, which use Omega's homemade chili (see the chili guide)
  • Plain Omelette and Veggie Omelette

If you want something simple, the Plain Omelette and the Cheese Omelette are the baseline. The Denver and chili versions are the bigger options.

Breakfast Plates

The Breakfast Plates section is for people who want eggs with a meat. Most plates are described as 2 extra-large eggs with hash browns, toast and jelly:

  • Bacon and Eggs, Sausage and Eggs, Ham and Eggs and Polish Sausage and Eggs
  • Steak and Eggs
  • Chorizo and Egg (chorizo and eggs page)
  • Chicken and Eggs and a Chop Chicken and Egg Plate
  • Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, served with 2 extra large eggs, hash browns and toast
  • Hamburger Patty and Eggs

From the Griddle

The griddle section lists a Short Stack, a Full Stack, French Toast and Biscuits and Gravy. They are the simplest breakfast items and work well as a side to a plate, or as the main order for someone who wants something sweet. See the Biscuits and Gravy page for that one.

Egg Burritos and Breakfast Burritos

Two sections cover burritos, and they are easy to confuse. The Egg Burritos section lists an Egg Burrito plain or with bacon, sausage, ham or turkey sausage. Each is described as 2 extra-large eggs, cheddar cheese, onions and homemade salsa wrapped in an extra-large toasted flour tortilla. The Breakfast Burritos section lists items such as BB with Bacon, BB with Sausage and BB with Ham, each described as served with the same ingredients as the egg burrito and hash browns, plus a Chorizo and Egg Burrito, an Asada and Egg Burrito, a Polish and Egg Burrito, a Turkey and Egg Burrito, a Hamburger Patty and Egg Burrito, a Breakfast Burrito with Polish Sausage, a Breakfast Burrito with Turkey Sausage, a Breakfast Burrito with Chop Chicken and a Breakfast Burrito with no meat. Our egg burrito vs. breakfast burrito guide explains how to choose, and the breakfast burritos page lists them together. If you are searching for one nearby, see breakfast burrito near me.

Breakfast Sandwiches

The Breakfast Sandwiches section lists egg sandwiches built on toast with lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise: an Egg Sandwich, a Bacon and Egg Sandwich, a Sausage and Egg Sandwich, a Ham and Egg Sandwich, a Polish and Egg Sandwich, a Chicken and Egg Sandwich, a Turkey and Egg Sandwich and a Steak and Egg Sandwich, among others. There is also a Pastrami Sandwich in this section. See the egg sandwich page.

Add-ons

The side orders let you adjust a breakfast: a Side of Toast, a Side of Egg, a Side of 2 Bacon, a Side of 3 Bacon and a Side of 3 Sausage. Scoops of chili are also available, which is how some people turn a plain plate into a chili plate.

How to choose

  • Something quick to carry: an egg burrito or an egg sandwich.
  • A sit-down plate: Bacon and Eggs, Sausage and Eggs or Steak and Eggs.
  • Something sweet: the Pancake Special, the French Toast Special or a Short Stack.
  • Something bigger: a Denver Omelette, a Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs or a breakfast burrito.
  • For a child: the Kid's Pancake Special or the Kid's French Toast Special.
  • For a vegetarian: the Veggie Omelette, the Cheese Omelette or the Breakfast Burrito with no meat.

Sample breakfast orders

These are suggestions built from items on the order page, not set menus.

  • For one person in a hurry: an Egg Burrito with Bacon and a Side of Toast, picked up on the way to work.
  • For one person with time to sit: a Denver Omelette, which includes 3 extra-large eggs, hash browns, toast and jelly.
  • For two people sharing: a Pancake Special and a Bacon and Eggs plate, so there is something sweet and something savory on the table.
  • For a family with kids: a Kid's Pancake Special, a Kid's French Toast Special and two adult plates, plus a Short Stack to share.
  • For someone who likes spice: a Chili Omelette, or a Chorizo and Egg Burrito.

Breakfast for a team or a meeting

If you are feeding a group, Omega's ezCater menu has a Breakfast section with egg burritos, breakfast burritos, egg sandwiches, plates, omelets, pancakes, French toast and biscuits and gravy. Many of the burritos and sandwiches offer optional individual packaging, which makes it easier to hand a boxed breakfast to each person. ezCater shows the current lead time and order minimum for your date. See the catering page for the link, and the Paramount catering guide for more on how group orders work.
