Tuna Sandwiches in Bellflower

Homemade tuna salad is the common thread between the two tuna orders at Omega Burgers: the Tuna Sandwich and the Tuna Melt Sandwich. Same tuna, two different sandwiches.

The Tuna Sandwich is a large portion of homemade tuna salad served on toast with mayonnaise, lettuce, and tomatoes. It is the cold version, the one you order on a warm afternoon or when you want something that is not fried or char-broiled.

The Tuna Melt Sandwich is a large portion of homemade tuna salad served on grilled toast with 2 slices of melted american cheese. No lettuce or tomato on the melt; it is the hot, pressed version with cheese doing the work the vegetables do on the cold sandwich.

For either one, the combo includes small fries or regular salad and a medium soda. Kaiser Permanente Bellflower staff and Downtown Bellflower office workers lean toward the cold sandwich at lunch; the melt is more of a cool-evening order for the patio.
